Today is the last day of the Commonwealth Business Forum. Successful results have already been obtained from the Forum. At present several foreign investors have come forward to invest in Sri Lanka. Some others have made inquiries about investments. This was stated by Minister Basil Rajapakse when he participated in an inspection tour of the Commonwealth Media Centre at the BMICH last afternoon.
He said a special window has been established at the Cinnamon Grand Hotel in Colombo, the venue of the Business Forum, to provide information to prospective investors. He said that the reflections of Sri Lanka exhibition starting tomorrow at the Janakala Kendraya in Battaramulla is also another significant event to promote Sri Lankan investments. He also said that the media center at the BMICH has all facilities for foreign and local journalists and in this center the foreign journalists could see the real situation in Sri Lanka. Today is the 2nd day of "reflection of Sri Lanka" Trade, Tourism and Investment Exhibition. It is being held at the Janakala Kendraya in Battaramulla. The exhibition has been organized in line with the Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting. More than 800 manufacturers are showcasing their products at this exhibition.
